On Friday 8th May, a fantastic team effort from our volunteers today led to a rather successful Cream Tea Celebration to mark the 75th Anniversary of VE Day.
The Cream Teas were delivered to six hundred elderly and vulnerable members of our community. Our hope was to bring a smile and a treat to those most affected by self-isolation.
We had such lovely feedback from the residents who received a Cream Tea, so thank you to everyone who got involved, whether it was donating money or ingredients, baking, packing or delivering, we wouldn't have been able to do it without you all. We're so proud of the fantastic community spirit which is clearly evident in Street right now.
