EMERGENCY FOOD BANK
& FOOD PARCELS
CAN YOU HELP?
The Salvation Army has set up an emergency food bank to help those who are self-isolating or struggling due to job losses and having children at home. They are asking for anyone who thinks they may be able to donate some food to drop it off at The Salvation Army on Goswell Road.

Donations will be gratefully received.
Drop off times are Mondays,
Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am-1pm
To comply with current Government advice, please leave any donations by the front door.

For those unable to drop-off supplies in person who would still like to help, donations can be made through JustGiving, with all donations going directly to providing food and essential items to the people in our community.

You can donate here.
Thank you for your continued support.

DO YOU NEED HELP?
If you need help with food at this difficult time The Salvation Army can deliver food parcels to your doorstep. For those using this service, please keep an eye on your food and plan ahead. Where possible The Salvation Army will only deliver Monday-Friday in order for stocks to be organised at the weekend.
Please phone before 1pm for same-day delivery:

There are a number of local garden maintenance contractors working within the social distancing guidelines, you can find a list below. Please remember that if you pay a contractor to remove waste from your property you need to check that they are a licensed contractor.

Nicks Waste & Rubbish is a licensed waste carrier and is able to remove any garden waste if your gardener is unable to, find out more at nickswasteandrubbish.co.uk
PRESCRIPTION DELIVERY SERVICE
We'd like to thank everyone who helped to provide a prescription delivery service earlier on this year, including individual volunteers and Millfield School who provided vehicles for deliveries.

If you are still in need of a prescription delivery service please ask your chemist to arrange this for you.
FOOD SHOPPING
Earlier on this year, individual volunteers shopped for those unable to do so and developed this service so that they could take payment by card over the phone, ensuring the whole process involved no contact with the people who needed the service.

This service has now been taken on by the family members, friends and neighbours of those in need.
HELP THE HOMELESS COACH CAFE
The Help The Homeless Coach Cafe provides tea, coffee, soups and snacks to those who are homeless for free. Donations are gratefully received by the public and the cafe has been thankful to receive blankets, sleeping bags, tents, clothes, shoes and hygiene items.
The coach has WiFi on board which allows the cafe to help those that need online forms filling out.

Millfield and Chartwells recently donated food for the cafe.

The cafe has set-up a Go Fund Me page for anyone who wishes to donate towards the running of the cafe. Click here to see the Help The Homeless Coach Cafe Facebook page where you can find more information about the cafe and how you can donate.
