DOMESTIC ABUSE

Self-isolation is essential to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), but it can create new challenges for people experiencing domestic abuse.
- Self-isolating while living with an abuser may heighten domestic tension and increase the risk of harm; home is not always a safe place for everyone.
- Support continues to be available for Somerset residents online at somersetsurvivors.org.uk/covid-19-support or by calling 0800 69 49 999.
- The service can offer safe emergency accommodation and outreach support. All delivered by a highly experienced and qualified team which is following Government guidance for keeping those experiencing domestic abuse safe in these unprecedented times.
- If you or someone you care about is in immediate danger, please call 999 and ask for the police.
