THURSDAY 30 APRIL Spring Soirée (1)-4pm
A mid-afternoon soirée featuring instrumental and vocal performances from Millfield’s musicians. Suggested concert pairing: Cream Tea.
MONDAY 11 MAY Johnson Sessions – 7.30pm
One of Millfield Music’s most popular events, join us at the culmination of the ‘Somerset Day’ celebrations in a concert that features our students’ contemporary music talents. Suggested concert pairing: To celebrate all that is Somerset, enjoy apple-based drinks with cheddar and apple chutney.
THURSDAY 14TH MAY Spring Soirée (2)-4pm
Our second mid-afternoon soirée of the term featuring instrumental and vocal performances from Millfield’s musicians. Suggested concert pairing: Afternoon Tea.
FRIDAY 22ND MAY Leavers’ Recital – 7.30pm
An evening recital celebrating the musical talents of the Upper Sixth leavers. Suggested concert pairing: Canapés & Fizz.
‘THEMED THROWBACK’
Concerts will be released on a weekly basis celebrating performances from the past few years.
The first themed concert, released this week, showcases ‘A Night at the Theatre’. The second event will celebrate the music of composers who have an ‘anniversary’ during 2020.
‘AN EVENING WITH…’
Millfield Music School will be hosting a series of events that connects with Old Millfieldians who have gone on to pursue music since leaving Millfield. Featuring performances and interviews, this series will provide an invaluable insight into the musical worlds of several of the OMs. The first event will feature world-renowned violinist ‘Anna Im’ performing Sibelius and Mozart.
