Domestic Abuse Helpline
Self-isolation is essential to help slow the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, but it can create new challenges for people experiencing domestic abuse.
Self-isolating while living with an abuser may heighten domestic tension and increase the risk of harm; home is not always a safe place for everyone.
Support continues to be available for Somerset residents by going online at somersetsurvivors.org.uk/covid-19-support or by telephoning 0800 69 49 999.
The service can offer safe emergency accommodation and outreach support. All delivered by a highly experienced and qualified team which is following Government guidance for keeping those experiencing domestic abuse safe in these unprecedented times.
If you or someone you care about is in immediate danger, please call 999 and ask for the police.
